AUDITIONS FOR THE COMEDY “CALENDAR GIRLS”

Casting Call: All roles are for actors 18 of age and over. Casting 9 Women and 4 Men, to play the roles of ages twenties through seventies. You do not need to prepare anything, but you will need to stay the entire time. Pre-registration is required for auditions, please complete the online form for Calendar Girls Audition Form. Note to actors: There will be no nudity. We will be using English accents and will have assistance available. Auditions will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm and Friday, December 19, from 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm at the Vint Hill Theater on the Green located at 4225 Aiken Drive, Warrenton, VA. All roles are open to the public to audition for, and are unpaid as volunteers with no monetary compensation.
Synopsis: When Annie’s husband John dies of leukemia, she and best friend Chris resolve to raise money for a new settee in the local hospital waiting room. They manage to persuade four fellow Women’s Institute members to pose nude with them for an “alternative” calendar, with a little help from hospital porter and amateur photographer Lawrence. The news of the women’s charitable venture spreads like wildfire, and hordes of press soon descend on the small village of Knapeley in the Yorkshire Dales. The calendar is a success, but Chris and Annie’s friendship is put to the test under the strain of their newfound fame. Based on the true story of eleven Wisconsin Institute members who posed nude for a calendar to raise money for the Leukemia Research Fund, Calendar Girls opened at the Chichester Festival Theatre and has since become the fastest-selling play in British theatre history.
Performances: Performances of Calendar Girls will take place on Fridays and weekends March 6, 2026 – March 22, 2026. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 pm and Sunday matinees are at 2 pm. All performances will take place at the Vint Hill Theater on the Green, 4225 Aiken Drive, Warrenton, VA. Tickets are available to purchase here from the home page: www.FCTstage.org. AUDITIONS FOR TALES OF THE ARTISAN
Auditions on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Fauquier Community Theatre!
Casting Call October, 2025! Ages 15 and up. Fauquier Community Theatre will be holding auditions for the world premiere Tales of the Artisan on Wednesday, October 22 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Synopsis! New! World Premiere! Tales of the Artisan is a new musical written and composed by the writing team of Matt Moore and Cate Murray. A heartwarming, gripping, sometimes whimsical but always moving story of a small Scots/Irish Gaelic family with a powerful secret fleeing political persecution in 1814 America, Tales of the Artisan transports the viewers to a secret world of magic, wonder and intrigue. Part coming-of-age story, part action thriller and part homage to the incredible connection of family, the musical features an evolution of early American music, beginning with its roots in Scotch/Irish culture and exploring aspects of early folk. The score is full of lush blends, big dance numbers, magic effects and features a small on-stage orchestra comprised of the primary characters.
